The Next QB: Tim Tebow versus Cam Newton

There is something exciting going on in the NFL. I mentioned it here previously. QB's have always been the most important and critical position on the field. Now it is becoming the most exciting. Let's take a look at the current top NFL quarterbacks.

Tom Brady - Ho hum. I'll just go out and throw for 300+ yards and 3TDs every game. Yawn.
Aaron Rodgers - Super Bowl Champ. Best player in the NFL and it's not debatable.
Philip Rivers - He gets overlooked a lot, but he's in the top tier of QBs. SD 619 Respresent.
Jay Cutler - Can we get the man an offensive line, please? He's a top 6 QB if his team blocks for him.
Matt Stafford - Yes, he gets hurt often. What we do know is this: Stafford to Calvin Johnson, Touchdown.
Michael Vick - Hold your breath. You just never know what's gonna happen next.
Drew Brees - See Brady, Tom.

Cam Newton has plenty to smile about.**Peyton Manning (injured out for year)

And we've got the future. The new breed of mobile quarterbacks. Cam Newton, meet Tim Tebow. Tim, Cam, touch gloves and have a good clean fight for most exciting player in the NFL. (Please note I did not say BEST player, I said most exciting).

If I had to pick between these two, give me Cam Newton for the future and long haul. Give me Tebow if you need someone for just one play.

If anyone saw Tim Tebow's single handed, put the team on his back, 18 straight unanswered points, comeback win against Miami, you know what I'm talking about. My girlfriend hates football and she actually sat and watched him. (Of course, I told her, come here, watch this guy... he's about to do something crazy. And he did). The Denver Broncos were down 15-0 with 2 minutes left in the game when Tebow took over game.

Final score, Tebow 18, Miami 15.
