Thursday Night Football: Chargers v Raiders

Talk it out, guys. (Photo from Footballers, set your lineups!

The first Thursday Night game is upon us, thus kicking off Thursday-Monday football for the rest of the year! "Thus" is fun to say.

Thursday Night, The Carson Palmer led Oakland Raiders (still sounds weird to say) head to San Diego to take on Phillip Rivers and the Chargers. Rivers has been struggling and cost his team 3 loses in a row. It's a battle for first place in the AFC West. Prime-time. 619. Chargers by 3, 27-24.

In technically the battle for worst in the AFC West, the Denver Broncos v Kansas City Chiefs game could easily turn into a battle for first. Take a look at the standings for the AFC West. Crazy. Looks like my fantasy football division.

In fact, just for fun, let's take a look at that division, too.

Anyone care to guess which team I am?

I'll take the man, the myth and the legend, Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos over the Chiefs. 27-17

And an NFC West team plays an interesting game in Philly with both teams struggling. The question in this one is whether Kevin Kolb, former Eagles, current Arizona Cardinals quarterback will play? He'd be retuning to his former team who thought he wasn't good enough. Motivation? I think so. Upset Special, shocker alert. Cardinals 30, Eagles 21. Patrick Peterson scores all three Cardinals Touchdowns. (OK, maybe he'll get one).
